Following the success of the 2015 VOLUNTEER YOUR WAY TO WORK PROJECT (V2W), ESTEEM is continuing to offer inspiring youth volunteering opportunities. Young people aged 14-26 can gain valuable career experience in preparation for transitioning onto meaningful employment.
Mentor Me offers young people the chance to gain quality 1:1 time with a Progression Mentor, who can help them identify their skills and life goals. With a strong focus on career development. Mentors provide support with a range of subjects – including CV writing, job searches and sign posting to other services.
As a youth lead charity, the YMT is ESTEEM’s steering group of between five to ten 14 – 26 year olds, who meet once a week. A representative from the YMT attends ESTEEM’s trustee meetings to help plan and navigate ESTEEM’s projects and events.
ESTEEM runs weekly Drop Ins that cover a whole range of exciting and engaging topics, such as mental and sexual health discussions, healthy eating and living, creative and innovative activities, as well as ESTEEM’s social enterprise ESTEEM Ink. Designs.
ESTEEM is a registered member of Erasmus+ and participates in projects around Europe, funded by the European Union, providing young people with amazing opportunities to travel, experience new cultures and take part in a wide range of youth projects across the continent.
